Santo Domingo.– President of the party Alianza País (ALPaís), Guillermo Moreno, clarified this Thursday that his organization maintains no type of agreement with the government led by President Luis Abinader, at the same time as he specified that the political alliance that they subscribed to face the 2024 elections was dissolved the same night of the elections.
“This means that from then on, Alianza País has no political, tactical, or strategic agreement with the government of Luís Abinader or with the official party”, Moreno expressed in a message disseminated through his social networks.
Also former candidate for senator by the National District, Moreno stated that ALPaís has maintained an independent stance in front of the government’s policies, both in the national and international planes, in coherence with the party’s political line: to support any initiative that deepens the change, and to reject anything that implies regression, social injustice, or violation of rights.
“Therefore, Alianza País reaffirms its lines of always”, Moreno stated, listing the axes that will continue to guide the political action of his organization.
Finally, Moreno said that Alianza País will continue working to build “a just, democratic, prosperous, and sovereign Republic”, and that it will be “shoulder to shoulder with all those who fight to make these high purposes a reality that guides us”.
