SANTO DOMINGO.– Bonanza Dominicana, the exclusive Mitsubishi Motors dealer in the Dominican Republic, presents the new Mitsubishi Destinator, a three-row SUV with a capacity for seven passengers that arrives in the Dominican market with a proposal that combines space, comfort, technology, safety, and performance.
The arrival of the Destinator represents the incorporation of a completely new model to Mitsubishi Motors’ portfolio and is part of the brand’s international expansion. The vehicle was initially presented in Indonesia in 2025 and subsequently began its introduction in other markets. Its development responds to the concept “Confidence Booster for Energetic Families”, designed to accompany families in their daily activities and travels.
With this new SUV, Mitsubishi Motors bets on a vehicle capable of adapting to different needs. Its three rows of seats allow for the transport of up to seven passengers, while its interior configuration seeks to provide space and comfort for occupants during urban trips and longer journeys.
Externally, the Destinator incorporates the Dynamic Shield design language, characteristic of Mitsubishi Motors, with a robust and contemporary appearance. Internally, it integrates elements aimed at improving the experience of passengers and connectivity, including a 12.3-inch central screen and an 8-inch digital instrument panel, according to the specifications communicated by the manufacturer.
The proposal also emphasizes performance. The Destinator is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine and CVT transmission, and features five driving modes that allow the vehicle’s response to be adapted to different conditions, including wet surfaces, gravel, and more challenging terrain. The Active Yaw Control (AYC) system, developed by Mitsubishi Motors, also contributes to the vehicle’s control during curves.
Security is another key aspect of the new model. The Destinator incorporates driver assistance technologies, including blind spot alert, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and systems designed to help prevent or reduce the impact of certain collisions, according to the vehicle’s configuration.
Additionally, the Mitsubishi Destinator achieved five stars in the ASEAN NCAP 2025 evaluation, a program that assesses various aspects related to occupant protection and vehicle safety and assistance technologies.
The arrival of the Destinator also takes place at a time of international expansion of the model. Mitsubishi Motors has presented it as a strategic vehicle for different markets, with a proposal especially oriented towards families seeking greater space and versatility without sacrificing modern driving technologies.
For the Dominican Republic, its incorporation represents a new alternative within the seven-passenger SUV segment and expands Mitsubishi Motors’ portfolio available to local consumers.
