The Greats of Bolero, a Vibra Productions project, will pay tribute to the performers and composers who gave identity to Latin American romantic song. The event will be on December 12 at 8:30 p.m., at Stage 360.
Santo Domingo. From the intensity of Olga Guillot to the indomitable temperament of La Lupe and the heartbreaking performance of Chavela Vargas, the musical universe of these figures will be celebrated in The Greats of Bolero, a show starring Diomary La Mala, which will be presented at Stage 360 on Saturday, December 12, at 8:00 p.m., under the production of Vibra Productions by artistic entrepreneur Billy Hasbun.
With her interpretive sensitivity and stage personality, Diomary will invite the audience to rediscover the repertoire of the great bolero voices, with a personal reading of songs that have marked Latin American music.
The evening will be dedicated to the passion, romance and disillusion that have given life to countless boleros, in a proposal that recovers the feeling and expressive power of this genre.

Olga Guillot, known as the Queen of Bolero, turned drama into an expression of stage elegance. La Lupe broke molds with a passionate and spontaneous singing style, while Chavela Vargas defied the conventions of her time with a deeply intimate style, recognizable in songs such as Paloma negra.
Adding to that musical legacy are Elena Burke, an essential figure of Cuban filin; Toña la Negra and María Luisa Landín, together with Virginia López, Amalia Mendoza, Vikki Carr and the Chilean Palmenia Pizarro, remembered for her rendition of Cariño malo. With different styles and careers, these artists contributed to expanding the ways of expressing love and heartbreak through song.
Bolero also bears the imprint of women who gave life to some of its most emblematic songs. María Grever, author of Júrame; Consuelo Velázquez, composer of Bésame mucho; and Ema Elena Valdelamar, creator of Mil besos, left works that achieved international recognition and found new expressions in voices of different eras.

Diomary La Mala will approach this songbook from her personal style, with the vocal ability and expressive intensity that distinguish her artistic proposal. The concert will bring together songs associated with icons of romantic music, in an evening marked by the sensitivity and talent of the Dominican artist.
With The Greats of Bolero, Vibra Productions adds to Santo Domingo’s entertainment lineup a proposal that pays tribute to the women who made bolero an unmistakable musical expression, with Diomary La Mala as the central figure and her special guests.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 12, at 8:30 p.m., at Stage 360, Santo Domingo, tickets are on sale at Uepa Tickets
