Santo Domingo Oeste.— The State Technical Execution Unit for Land Titling (UTECT) announced the start of work to grant definitive titles for houses and lots in the Villa Ogando project, an event that will directly impact eight sectors of the municipality and more than 6,000 people.

The announcement was made by the executive director of UTECT, Duarte Méndez Peña, during an event held in Villa Verde, where he reported that the communities La Ciénaga, Hato Nuevo, Villa Ogando, Villa Verde, La Angelita, Altamira, Brisas de Villa Verde and Nuevo Horizonte will be benefited by this process.

Technical, social and legal work is carried out together with the General Directorate of National Assets and the State Sugar Council (CEA). Around 1,500 title certificates are projected to be delivered, benefiting thousands of families who have been waiting for years for the formalization of their properties.

Méndez Peña highlighted that this process is the result of cadastral, registry and legal investigations carried out on parcels 21, 25 and 26 of Cadastral District No. 12, and parcels 87, 89, 91, 92, 93 and 94 of Cadastral District No. 31.
