The Tano Martino 2026 Rookie Draft of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) will be held this Wednesday, September 9 at Sambil Santo Domingo, where the league’s six teams will select new talent. The event will start at 8:00 p.m. and can be followed live via CDN Deportes and the official LIDOM TV channel on YouTube, according to league president Dr. Vitelio Mejía Ortiz.
A total of 99 prospects will be available during the selection process, in which the Tigres del Licey, Estrellas Orientales, Leones del Escogido, Gigantes del Cibao, Toros del Este and Águilas Cibaeñas will participate. The draft order was determined based on the teams’ standings in the regular season of the 2025-26 championship.
