Attorney Billy Gerónimo will request postponement of coercive measure hearing for his client Angeury Guzmán Vásquez, accused in SeNaSa 2.0 case, due to the fact that the Public Ministry’s request was delivered last Sunday and contains a large number of documents. The hearing is scheduled for this Monday at 2:00 PM. Gerónimo explained that the volume of the file prevents the defense from being properly prepared.
Among the charges attributed to the accused are association of wrongdoers, fraud, and money laundering. However, Gerónimo clarified that not all would have the same level of responsibility and that this would be established during the judicial process.
SeNaSa 2.0 case
Gerónimo also stated that the defense and the accused’s relatives have maintained conversations with the Public Ministry and that there is a disposition to cooperate with the investigation. The defense is fully disposed to speak and reach any type of alternative resolution to the conflict.
The attorney, who also represents Angel Luis Guzmán, brother of his client, stated that the relatives have approached the Public Ministry since the beginning of the process and have maintained a line of communication with the authorities. On the raids carried out as part of the investigation, Gerónimo indicated that the defense was not surprised by the operations.
The defense is not surprised by the raids, as they were maintaining conversations with the Public Ministry and knew that at some point actions of this type could occur. However, he stated that during the procedures, situations occurred that presented irregularities.
