Marileidy won the gold medal by setting a new Olympic record in the 400-meter flat event. On the other hand, Yunior and Cristian obtained a bronze medal in the boxing event.
Franklin de la Mota, vice-minister of the Ministry of Sports, reports that the three athletes will land this Sunday on Dominican soil at the terminal of the International Airport of the Americas José Francisco Peña Gómez.
De la Mota announced that there will be a tour from the Las Américas highway to Don Gregorio, Nizao, the birthplace of Marileidy.
A large celebration has been organized with multiple orchestras and a fireworks display, under the production of Saymon Díaz and organized by the vice-minister Mota.

Garibaldy Bautista, president of the Dominican Olympic Committee, and Miguel Camacho, head of mission of the Dominican delegation, will accompany Marileidy, Yunior and Cristian on their journey.
Also, Gerardo Suero Correa, president of the Dominican Federation of Athletics Associations, and Rubén García, president of the Dominican Federation of Boxing, will join.

Francisco Camacho, Minister of Sports, tried to coordinate his trip to arrive with the Dominican medalists, but faced difficulties in getting a flight.
Although he had his ticket for Monday, he tried to advance his flight to Sunday to coincide with the arrival of Marileidy, Yunior and Cristian, but it has not been possible due to the high demand for flights.
