The DICRIM agent Rafelin Cruz Tejeda, known as “Boloyon”, lost his life on Wednesday night after being injured during a supposed confrontation with the police in Villa Fundación, municipal district of Peravia province.
According to preliminary information, Cruz Tejeda was being sought for his alleged connection to several investigated crimes in different locations across the country, including Villa Fundación, Matanzas, Baní and the capital, Santo Domingo. No official details have been revealed about the specific crimes that motivated the search.
Intervention and hospitalization
The deceased was taken to the emergency room of the Villa Fundación Municipal Hospital, where his death was confirmed. Multiple gunshot wounds are reported, although the authorities must confirm the accuracy of these facts in their reports.
Subsequently, his remains were sent to the morgue of the Hospital Nuestra Señora de Regla, located in Baní, as part of the investigation.
Investigation status
Until now, no official report has been published detailing how the intervention began or the circumstances that led to the exchange of gunfire. Neither has it been reported if there were objects linked to investigations at the scene or if other people were present.
The case remains under investigation while awaiting the publication of a complete report that clarifies the actions of DICRIM members and Cruz Tejeda’s participation as a wanted person.
