In a new phase of the investigation, agents of the Criminal Investigation Department (DICRIM) and personnel of the medium La Vega Mundial conducted an exhaustive inspection in the Tablones of Manabao, area where the child Roldani Calderón disappeared. The day counted with the presence of his mother, Carolina, who showed herself cooperative despite a strong physical decompensation that required assistance from the companions.

The route covered a mountainous area of difficult access, with steep paths and agricultural areas, adjacent to a tributary where previously a trail related to the child’s footwear had been followed. During the visit, investigators and communicators spoke with residents to learn details about the day Roldani was last seen. They discussed the difference between versions about who accompanied the child to the river area. A resident explained his version and denied having carried the child at any time. The communicator asked about observed reactions, to which the resident replied that he was not hiding information and asked that his explanations be taken into account.
Review of the shoe print trail point
The inspected area also included the point where a search dog had followed the scent of the child’s shoe print to near the water. The search teams had arrived at that place following the signal marked by the trained animal, but it was not possible to continue with the location of the trail. The DICRIM agents verified the conditions of the terrain and surroundings again to collect elements that may contribute to the investigation.
Claims from residents and demand for clarification
A resident of the intervened dwelling asked that no one be held responsible without evidence and stated that no one can affirm with certainty what happened to the child. She pointed out that she did not have precise information about additional people who may have been in the area and asked that her explanations be taken into account.
