The fifth week of Arts has started in Santo Domingo, with a focus on the creative process as the main protagonist. The Ministry of Culture, through the General Directorate of Arts, has organized this proposal that combines training, knowledge, identity, and artistic creation. The general director of Arts, Marianela Sallent, highlighted the importance of training for the development of the Dominican cultural sector.

The fifth edition of the Arts Week pays tribute to the outstanding writer, art critic, and cultural manager Natacha Sánchez. The director of the National Dominican Ballet, Pablo Pérez, and the choreographer Eric Guzmán, shared details of the creative process of “Salomé: Alma de Patria”, a work inspired by the life and legacy of the Dominican poet and educator Salomé Ureña.
