Hall y Moyers se reincorporan a las filas de Tigres del Licey

Santo Domingo.- Tigres del Licey, last season’s Dominican winter baseball champions, announced the return of American pitchers Brooks Hall and Steve Moyers for the upcoming season starting October 16th, according to general manager Audo Vicente on Friday. Hall and Moyers played crucial roles in the team’s previous championship victory.

“We’ve added two proven arms that can make an impact in this league, and last year, they brought a lot of stability to our rotation,” Vicente stated. Hall, 34, will be joining the back-to-back Dominican league champions for his third stint.

The right-hander comes from playing with the Mexico City Red Devils. Moyers, 30, will pitch for the fourth consecutive championship with the Tigres.

He participated in nine games last tournament, striking out 21 batters and finishing with a 2.67 ERA. Over the summer, the Connecticut native pitched for two teams in the Mexican Baseball League.

His best performance was with the Acereros de Monclova, posting a 2-1 record and a 2.61 ERA after four starts. In addition to Hall and Moyers, the champions have signed American starters Zac Grotz and Nico Tellache. All will be ready to pitch for Tigres from the season’s opening day, October 16th.
