The regulation of motorcycle taxi stands is consolidated as the key strategy to ensure greater safety and control in informal transportation in Greater Santo Domingo. The Minister of Interior and Police, Faride Raful, led a strategic meeting with representatives of INTRANT, DIGESETT and municipalities of Greater Santo Domingo to coordinate this initiative that prioritizes the regulation of motorcycle taxi stands.

The agreed mechanism establishes permanent monitoring that articulates the work of the Ministry of Interior and Police, the National Police, INTRANT, DIGESETT, DNCD, the General Directorate of Migration and local governments, complying with the principles of the regulation of motorcycle taxi stands. The Minister explained that municipalities will play a fundamental role, authorizing land use, registering stands and supervising enabled spaces, an essential element in the regulation of motorcycle taxi stands.
