The confirmation of Edgar Batista took place during the National Assembly of Delegates, where the new authorities of the ruling party were also chosen for the 2026-2030 cycle. During that event, Luis Abinader was appointed president of the PRM, while the commission in charge of internal processes was placed under the direction of Deligne Ascención.
According to the content distributed by the organization, the National Commission for Internal Elections is made up of fourteen members and is responsible for the organization and supervision of internal electoral processes.
