Ángel Rosario, known artistically as Ángel Dior, has emerged victorious in a legal dispute in the Dominican Republic against the mega-company “Parfums Christian Dior”. The legal dispute, which lasted for nearly two years, concluded with Ángel Dior’s victory, allowing his brand named after him, “Ángel Dior”, to continue operating in the country’s musical sphere.

The artist behind the song “AEIO” announced on his digital platforms that, following the initial opposition by “Parfums Christian Dior” on September 28, 2022, the Dominican authorities ruled in his favor on April 5, 2024, rejecting the company’s appeal and confirming the registration of his trademark in the international classification.
Ángel Dior faced a European giant
“Parfums Christian Dior”, part of the luxury fashion conglomerate LVMH, valued at 480 billion dollars, had challenged the registration of the Ángel Dior brand.

This huge business entity called LVMH, led by Bernard Arnault, is a French giant that owns 76 prestigious brands and is headquartered in Paris, and was totally opposed to the name Ángel Dior standing out as an independent artist.
He expressed his gratitude upon emerging victorious
Rosario, who gained notoriety after his performance at a Bad Bunny concert in 2022, expressed his gratitude, attributing his success to God, whom he considers the supreme judge and lawyer.

Although fear and limitations when immersed in an international dispute are a cause for destabilization, the artist showed courage and determination by standing firm despite the circumstances that surrounded him all this time. Ángel Dior will continue working on new projects, now without carrying that huge weight on his shoulders.
