Lantica Studios has signed a strategic agreement with LAMUVIRD+, the soon-to-debut Dominican streaming platform, to bring its catalog of films to local audiences. This partnership seeks to expand the reach of cinema made in the Dominican Republic, offering high-quality productions through an accessible digital window.
Details of the catalog coming to LAMUVIRD+
Among the titles that Lantica Studios will make available are Cuarencena, Pérez Rodríguez, Ramona, Croma Kid, La Cigüeña, La Hembrita, La Encomienda, El Blanco, Sol en el Agua, El país de las últimas cosas, Papi, Mis 500 locos, and Cinderelo. These films, produced or distributed by Lantica Studios, will premiere on a staggered monthly basis starting from the launch of LAMUVIRD+ on January 30, 2026.

Rafael Elías Muñoz, Vice President of Production at Lantica Studios, emphasized that this pact reaffirms the company’s dedication to Dominican cinema. “We believe in the cultural value of these stories and in platforms that champion national content,” he stated. Lantica Studios, headquartered in Santo Domingo, has been a pioneer in the Dominican audiovisual industry since its founding, supporting over 20 productions in the past decade that have won awards at regional festivals.
Vision of LAMUVIRD+ and its partners
Ángel Muñiz, founder of LAMUVIRD+, explained that the platform, developed with producer Mon Lluberes and Melvin de León of Alofoke Media Group, will promote not only films but also live concerts and local sporting events. “We want a curated catalog of national productions for audiences inside and outside the country,” Muñiz noted. This initiative responds to the growth of streaming in the Dominican Republic, where 65% of households access digital platforms according to recent audiovisual market data.
