In an Instagram post, Javier Grullón described the assault his father, the actor and comedian Kenny Grullón, suffered last Friday at his home in Santo Domingo. The attacker, armed with a knife, entered the house while the stepmother, Ana Rossina Troncoso, the siblings and a granddaughter were present.
According to the actor, the aggressor threatened Kenny, threw him to the floor, tied him up and gagged him before taking his mobile phone and several belongings.
Reaction and gratitude
Javier thanked that his father and the rest of the family emerged unharmed and expressed his gratitude to the National Police, the 9‑1‑1 System and the Central Directorate of Investigation (Dicrim) for responding immediately. He also highlighted the support of the media and citizens.
Emotional impact
Although Kenny is physically stable, his son noted that the episode left both of them scarred. The actor added that “my dad is fine physically, but he is very traumatized by what happened.”
The case remains under investigation. Authorities continue gathering evidence and searching for the person responsible for the assault.
