The National Commission of Public Entertainment and Radio (CNEPR) announced that on August 12, a 30-day suspension measure was imposed on Tamara Martínez, a collaborator of the show “Fogaraté Radio Show”, due to the use of inappropriate language during a broadcast. This sanction limits her presence in radio, television, and public events nationwide.
However, the penalty was later shortened to 10 days by the CNEPR, which meant the early return of the media personality to her usual activities, 20 days ahead of schedule. The review of the sanction occurred after Emilio López, her lawyer, filed a motion for reconsideration, as Martínez communicated through her Instagram account.
Martínez expressed her gratitude to the authorities for addressing her request and promised to refrain from committing future infractions.
Likewise, the CNEPR determined to suspend the program “Fogaraté Radio”, broadcast on Power 103.7 FM, for a period of 10 days, an action taken after the interim president of the commission presented an audio with images as evidence of the improper act.
In the presented content, the collaborators are shown participating in an exchange full of vulgar comments and disrespectful allusions, which triggered a strong reaction from Martínez.
The conflict originated when Martínez asked her colleague Richard Hernández if he thought any member of the panel had a personal problem with him, to which he indicated yes, referring to her. From this point, the conversation intensified, culminating in statements that the CNEPR judged as inappropriate, resulting in the sanction of both the panelist and the radio show.
