UNITED STATES.- Dominican Michell Estévez Pérez was sworn in this Monday as a lawyer in the United States, after successfully passing the demanding Bar Exam in the State of Missouri, one of the most complex academic and professional challenges within the US legal system.
According to a press release, Michell Estévez, a graduate of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), has forged an outstanding academic career at the international level. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a specialization in Litigation and Oral Advocacy from the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she graduated with honors. In addition, she holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija (Madrid, Spain), a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Aden Business School (Argentina), and a specialization in Public Policy from George Washington University in Washington D.C., United States.
In the Dominican Republic, Estévez Pérez held important roles within the governmental legal sphere. She worked as a Contracts Manager and Legal Specialist in institutions such as the National Health Service (SNS), the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and as a junior lawyer at Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom).
