The company is currently collaborating with an expanded network of industrial partners to increase compatibility with HDR10+.
Samsung Electronics has announced today that its monitors and smart TVs will now support Netflix content in HDR10+[1].
Thanks to HDR10+, users will be able to enjoy a more intense contrast, more saturated colors and exceptional visual depth, transforming their favorite Netflix programs and movies into more immersive experiences.
“HDR10+ transforms the way we experience content, with intensified contrast and more vibrant colors that form an authentic cinematic experience”, expressed Taeyong Son, executive vice president of the Visual Display Business Unit at Samsung Electronics.
“We are pleased to bring this technology to over 300 million Netflix users and are committed to continuing to work with various partners to expand compatibility with HDR10+ in our product portfolio and beyond, within the streaming ecosystem”, he added.
HDR10+ represents an advanced high-dynamic-range (HDR) technology, in which Samsung has been a pioneer, designed to maximize image quality in each scene. Through dynamic adjustment of brightness and contrast, HDR10+ ensures that each scene is presented with extraordinary clarity and detail, faithfully respecting the creator’s vision.
This integration allows viewers to enjoy improved realism and depth in a continuously expanding library of HDR10+ content, achieving a more realistic look for each scene. Netflix HDR10+ content will be available on Samsung Neo QLED, OLED, and Lifestyle 2025 TVs, as well as on 2025 and 2024 monitor models, with more compatible models planned for the future.
