The La Patrulla del Monte running group announced that this Saturday, July 19, they will deliver 2,000 school supply kits for children in need in various areas where they carry out their activities and rallies.
The distribution of backpacks and school supplies will begin at 9:00 a.m. in Higuera, then they will move to the community of La Cuaba, from where they will proceed to deliver supplies to Yamasá.
Joselo Lantigua, operations manager of the La Patrulla del Monte running group, reported that other areas that will be impacted by the delivery of school supplies are Sierra Prieta, Guanuma, San Cristóbal, and surrounding areas.

Lantigua added that the distribution of these school supplies is part of the altruistic activities that the La Patrulla del Monte running group carries out every year as a way to thank the residents of the different areas they visit for the hospitality, affection, and support they receive during each of their activities.
“In each of the areas where we carry out our activities, we always receive a lot of affection, hospitality, and support, which is why we want to give back to their community members with these school supplies,” Lantigua stated.
Additionally, Lantigua reported that aside from distributing school supplies, they will also carry out a tree-planting drive to preserve the environment.
Furthermore, in one of the areas they regularly visit, they will repair a dilapidated house where children live.
La Patrulla del Monte was founded in 2014 and since then they have been holding various rallies as well as community outreach work.
