DR achieves business intentions totaling US$3,678,745 following a trade agenda that brought Dominican products to three international fairs in the Caribbean and the United States, according to ProDominicana.
The figure stems from the participation of Dominican companies in the Trade & Investment Convention (TIC) in Trinidad and Tobago; Cosmoprof Las Vegas in Nevada; and the NSA Trade Show in New Jersey. Together, these showcases connect exporters with buyers, distributors, and investors in markets of high interest to the Dominican Republic.
ProDominicana explained that the goal of these missions is to expand the internationalization of local companies and position the quality, diversity, and competitiveness of the national export supply. Within this framework, DR achieves business intentions as a result of a strategy that combines sectoral promotion and the opening of new sales channels.
DR achieves business intentions with the support of key sectors
Participating in the Cosmoprof Las Vegas beauty trade show were Laboratorio Capilo Español, Halka Industrial, Avacare, Inversiones y Negocios, S.A., Laboratorios Dr. Collado, Laboratorios Lemuel, Importadora Fernández García Tejada, and Bahaily Natural Products. Their offerings included hair care, personal care, specialized cosmetics, and products made with natural ingredients.
The NSA Trade Show featured Agrolácteos Imanfa, Vencor Group, Sancler, Sylvan Foods, Café Santo Domingo, Todus, Jomisardys, and Delimix, presenting proposals involving beans, cookies, beauty products, value-added frozen foods, and coffee.
What it means for the export supply
The reported amount does not represent immediately closed sales, but rather trade commitments in progress, an important distinction in foreign trade terminology. Even so, the data suggests genuine interest in Dominican products in segments where competition is strong and certification, packaging, and logistical capacity weigh just as heavily as price.
- TIC 2026: a business platform in the Caribbean with participants from over 35 countries.
- Cosmoprof Las Vegas 2026: a relevant showcase for beauty and personal care.
- NSA Trade Show 2026: a meeting point for independent retail on the East Coast of the United States.
DR achieves business intentions and reinforces its international presence
Participation in these fairs aligns with the commercial promotion policy that the Dominican Republic has driven in recent years to diversify markets and increase the value added of its exports. In practice, these actions allow national brands to negotiate with buyers outside the traditional circuit and gauge demand in more competitive settings.
In a context where foreign trade demands differentiation, DR achieves business intentions of US$3.7 million and leaves open the possibility of converting some of those conversations into concrete exports in the coming months. For ProDominicana, the challenge will be to sustain that presence and convert international interest into contracts, orders, and real market expansion.
