The boricuas began to attack the Cuban pitchers in the same second episode when Julián Estrada scored due to two invalid movements of the Cuban pitcher Pedro Castillo, then Guillermo Negrón advanced to the plate with a sacrifice fly by Adriel Cartagena to right field and Alex Ríos scored after connecting with a hit to right field, being driven in by Rodrigo Ramos who reached impossibly by the same route.
