Police confirm death of wanted man in Cabral operation

The National Police reported that on Thursday in the municipality of Cabral, Barahona, an operation was carried out that ended with the death of Carlos Julio Féliz Sena, nicknamed “Pedro Julio”. The operation, conducted near the El Rincón lagoon, was looking for a man with four active judicial orders.

Authorities indicated that the judicial requirements were linked to alleged connections with various cases under investigation in Cabral and that the detainee resided in the municipal district of La Lista.

Operation development

According to the Police, agents located Féliz Sena in the vicinity of the El Rincón lagoon and attempted to carry out the corresponding intervention. He reported that the man reacted against the agents and, while trying to flee, took out a handcrafted object called “chilena” and fired a projectile at the officers.

The agents responded and Féliz Sena was injured. He was taken to a medical center, where he died shortly thereafter. The exact cause of death is still being determined.
