GTA Online has been running for more than a decade and remains one of the most popular multiplayer games worldwide. The great news is that PC players will soon receive the updates they have been requesting from Rockstar Games.
Through its official blog, the studio has confirmed that in 2025 an update will be released for the PC version of GTA Online that will include several optimizations. In particular, features that were previously implemented on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will be added.
Although Rockstar has not provided an exact date for the arrival of these improvements, they have indicated that they will be released with “the new year”, which suggests they will likely be available in the early months of that year.
Among the improvements PC users will be able to experience from 2025 in GTA Online are higher resolutions, ray tracing support, textures with higher level of detail and fidelity, and an increase in draw distances to improve rendering of distant objects, among other features.
However, the PC update will not be limited to technical improvements only. Although Rockstar has not gone into details, the announcement suggests that Windows players will also have access to the exclusive content that was released for the enhanced versions on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2022.
