Santo Domingo.- The prices of gasoline, diesel, and gas will remain stable during the following week, while fuel oil, avtur, and kerosene will experience increases, as announced this Friday by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Mipymes (MICM).
With the objective of stabilizing the prices of five key fuels from March 22 to 28 and thus protecting Dominican consumers from fluctuations in international prices, the Government has decided to implement a subsidy of 323.1 million pesos.
During the next seven days, the cost of premium gasoline will remain at 290.10 pesos per gallon and regular gasoline at 272.50 pesos per gallon. Likewise, the price per gallon of regular diesel will continue at 221.60 pesos and optimal diesel at 239.10 pesos.
The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will also remain fixed at 132.60 pesos per gallon, and natural gas at 43.97 pesos per cubic meter.
In contrast, the price of avtur (used in aviation) will increase to 192.22 pesos per gallon (an increase of 1.07 pesos), kerosene to 221.90 pesos per gallon (an increase of 1.30), fuel oil #6 to 157.43 pesos per gallon (an increase of 2.27), and fuel oil 1%S to 167.91 pesos per gallon (an increase of 1.98 pesos).
The weekly average exchange rate is 63.05 pesos, based on the daily publications of the Central Bank.
