DIDA has launched a Christmas operation to supervise, monitor, and defend the rights of affiliates of the Dominican Social Security System, deploying more than 100 promoters and technical supervisors throughout the national territory with the purpose of guiding citizens and guaranteeing effective access to services during the festive season. The Christmas operation emphasizes presence in high-traffic locations to prevent violations and facilitate procedures.

Regional scope and duration

The Christmas operation is being carried out in the North, South, East, and West regions, and will remain active until January as part of a preventive strategy that seeks to reinforce guidance, monitoring, and the identification of potential violations of affiliates’ rights. This deployment includes assistance in communities and public spaces during the festivities.

Statements from management

The general director of DIDA, Elías Báez, pointed out that going out into the streets during the festivities is an institutional duty so that every affiliate knows and exercises their rights, and that the Christmas operation seeks precisely that: to bring services and guidance closer.

Recent results and locations

As part of the actions carried out this year, the institution identified more than 10,000 relatives of deceased affiliates who were unaware of funds in accounts of the Pension Fund Administrators (AFP), locating more than RD$1,000 million that are being guided for withdrawal in accordance with the law. Likewise, DIDA detected more than 6,000 pensioners who were unaware of a benefit granted by decree, facilitating the formalization of pending pensions and inclusion on the payroll.

  • More than 1,500 transfer processes from the Individual Capitalization System to the State Pay-As-You-Go System were executed between March and November 2025, seeking more favorable pensions.
  • DIDA provided more than 85,000 services that translated into 212,000 assistances in guidance, reception of cases, and channeling before the corresponding entities.

Impact and context

The figures show sustained work that positions DIDA as a preventive and resolutive entity focused on ensuring that no affiliate loses rights due to a lack of knowledge; the Christmas operation reinforces this policy by guaranteeing territorial presence and immediate responses during the festive season.

What affiliates should know

Affiliates should take advantage of the presence of promoters and technical supervisors to clarify doubts about pensions, transfers, and withdrawals of identified funds; the Christmas operation also functions as a channel to report irregularities and receive legal and administrative guidance.

DIDA reaffirms its commitment to the protection of the rights of affiliates and keeps the Christmas operation active until January to guarantee continuous attention during the festive season.
