Santo Domingo.- Ramón Pérez Fermín, vice minister of Internal Commerce, announced this Friday the firm intention of the government of president Luis Abinader to protect the economy of Dominican families.
As part of this initiative, the government will apply a subsidy to regular gasoil of almost 15 pesos per gallon, to optimal gasoil of 9.13 pesos per gallon, to regular gasoline of more than 12 pesos per gallon, to premium gasoline of 5.86 pesos per gallon, and to GLP also a subsidy of almost 15 pesos per gallon.
The vice minister expressed: “This effort represents a commitment of around 300.7 million. This with the objective of not affecting Dominican consumers with the increases in international prices. We are committed to monitoring and analyzing the international market continuously. In the face of the challenges of energy market fluctuations, our determination to defend Dominican families and ensure fair access to fuels remains unaltered”.
The fuel prices for the week of August 24 to 30, 2024 will be as follows:
Premium Gasoline will be offered at RD$290.10 per gallon, without price variation.
Regular Gasoline at RD$272.50 per gallon, without price variation.
Regular Gasoil at RD$221.60 per gallon, without price variation.
Optimal Gasoil at RD$239.10 per gallon, without price variation.
Avtur at RD$187.94 per gallon, decreasing RD$4.20.
Kerosene at RD$216.70 per gallon, decreasing RD$4.80.
Fuel Oil #6 at RD$157.14 per gallon, decreasing RD$3.99.
Fuel Oil 1%S at RD$171.83 per gallon, decreasing RD$5.15.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (GLP) at RD$132.60 per gallon, without price variation.
Natural Gas at RD$43.97 per m3, without price variation.
