Santo Domingo.- The Cámara de Cuentas de la República Dominicana (CCRD), in compliance with the powers granted to it by the Constitution and Law No. 18-24 —regulations that give it the authority to audit and analyze the execution of the General State Budget, as well as public investment and spending—, approved the publication of the audit report corresponding to the Liga Municipal Dominicana (LMD).
This report was approved by resolution No. AUD-2025-009, corresponding to the audit performed on the financial statements of the Liga Municipal Dominicana (LMD), for the period from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019, together with its respective legal report.
This exercise of external control was known and endorsed by the Plenary on June 18, 2025, and authorized by the Plenary decision No. DEC-X-2019-002, dated December 26, 2019.
The president of the Cámara de Cuentas, Dr. Emma Polanco Melo; the vice‑president, Lic. Francisco Tamárez Florentino; and the members of the Plenary, Lic. Francisco Franco, Ramón Méndez Acosta and Griselda Gómez Santana, highlighted that the referred report represents a concrete response to the citizen’s demand for greater transparency and coordinated institutional work, as well as continuity of the State.
As has already become an ordinary practice of this new composition of the body, the report was subject to a thorough review and was issued in accordance with the law, due process and the fundamental rights of citizens. Likewise, the officials and former officials involved were promptly notified, as well as the control and supervision bodies, who exercised their right of reply and submitted objections or supplementary documentation.
